Workshops * Events * Art Clubs
I offer creative experiences in Northumberland and beyond, that prioritise play, joy, flow and the freedom to make whatever it is you need to make – for children and grown-ups alike.
Whether you’re a primary or secondary school, community organisation, family group, local business, or are hosting an event, I can design and deliver a unique creative offering that suits your needs, people and space. My sessions are relaxed, open-ended, and always centred in low-stakes, high-joy making – think seasonal arts + crafts mornings, cut-out poetry workshops, card-making, collaging and collaborative painting.
My workshops can be tailored to all ages, from 2 upwards (baby siblings are always welcome at parent-child sessions).

What I offer
See below for the ways in which we can work together. Please note I’ll always include poster design for my workshops if required.
in the community
Drop-in art tables for all
Invite me to your community space, be it a library, youth group or anywhere your people gather, and I’ll set up a regular art station both children and grown-ups can’t resist. I’ll provide the materials, with a different theme, or medium-focus each week, and I’ll be there to offer a supportive presence. The idea is to create an environment where children (and accompanying adults) can land for a time, explore, experiment and freely create alongside each other.
Bespoke workshops
One-off creative workshops or recurring sessions shaped around your community, organisation or business. Workshops can be themed, seasonal or art medium-specific, and can be tailored to all ages. Be it a children’s autumn art series (think foraged nature collages and vegetable print-making). Or what about a cosy collage evening for grownups? Or a festive card-making coffee morning? I’ll provide the poster, materials, set-up and facilitate the event too, of course.
Celebrations, Retreats + Events
Be it a birthday party, hen do, festival, family gathering, or a wellness retreat, I can create an inviting creative experience for guests to sit down, relax into and create art for the sheer joy if it. I’ll work with you to design a workshop or drop-in art area tailored to the theme, style and even colours of your event, and I’ll be there on the day too – to set-up and curate the materials, and hold the space throughout. I can cater to all ages and levels of creative confidence.
in school settings
Artist Residency
For a more continuous creative presence within your school community, an artist residence would entail me coming in weekly across a term or academic year. It might include running creative assemblies, workshops, hosting Q&As, offering mentorship, creative career advice, and working together on projects. It's less a single project and more a way of becoming a familiar, embedded part of school life: someone pupils come to know, trust, and teachers can work with to help shape creative-centred learning opportunities across the school.
Collaborative art projects
A specific, defined project – designed together, with the values and identity of your school at its heart, and co-created with the children. This could run across a few days as a workshop, or unfold over a term, or even a full academic year, building towards something bigger – be it a striking collective piece of art which can be displayed for years to come, or a collaborative exhibition. Whether it’s a whole-school effort or centred around a specific year group, the finished work will reflect the voices and ideas of everyone involved.
Art club
Invite me to run an after-school or lunchtime art club at your place of learning – open to all ages or tailored to a specific year group. I bring along the art materials, including foraged and thrifted items, found on my travels and inspired by the seasons and cultural celebrations. The result is a supportive, inspiring environment where children can create freely, explore and experiment. Each week offers something different and is shaped around the needs and interests of that specific group.
My Creative Philosophy
Both my own creative life and my facilitation work is rooted in a deep belief that children, and grown-ups alike, are creative beings, and that we all deserve the time and space to play, explore, experiment and create things in low-stakes, high-joy environments.
As a home-educating parent, inspired by self-directed learning, I've come to see just how deeply intertwined learning, play and creativity are. I see first-hand, up close with my girls (and myself!) every day how much a sense of agency over our time, and what we are free to create, both feeds and shapes creative confidence. This understanding sits at the heart of how I show up in every workshop I run.
I don’t see my role as a ‘teacher’, but rather as an educator, a facilitator, a space holder, and a fellow creative. My role isn't to instruct, but to hold an inspiring, safe space where people can feel empowered to show up exactly as they are and make for the sake of making (if they want to!). Ultimately, I hope everyone will find their own version of ‘flow’ in my workshops.
For me, that’s where the magic and meaning (and fun!) lies — not in a ‘perfect’ piece of art, but in the act of creating something that only you can create.
